An Acting Session with Ashley Denise Robinson
Hey Actors! Find Your Mark(eting) is back on 2/27.
This week, we'll be looking at your headshots. I'll be telling you the types of characters I see you playing/what your headshots say about you just from the photos (instead of giving tips on how to make a shot better). It's more of a typing workshop than a "headshot tips & tricks" workshop.
If this sounds up your alley, send me TWO different headshots to findyourmarketing1@gmail.com by noon on Monday 2/27. Please make sure you'll be available to attend the workshop on 2/27 from 7PM-8:30PM EST/4PM-5:30 PM PST
NOTE: By two different headshots, I mean two headshots you feel tell two different stories, are two different types of characters, and that match who you are as an actor (ie, don't send me the same pose and head tilt in different shirts or blouses.) If you only have one shot, that's fine, too but try to send two!
IF YOU NEED TO LEAVE EARLY: get to the zoom early. I'm looking at headshots in order of who comes into the Zoom first so if you need to skedaddle, get there early.
Ashley Denise Robinson is an Equity actor and writer living in Los Angeles, CA. She holds a BA and MA from the University of Maryland at College Park and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, respectively. She’s been in over 15 indie films, including JETHICA, which premiered at the 2022 SXSW film festival and had its theatrical release in January 2023. Ashley has worked in New York City, London, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and her films have played around the world in Nigeria, South Korea, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, and more. She’s a teaching artist for Fountain Voices. Ashley is currently writing her second feature and umpteenth short film.
