SACRIFICE

Sports Drama Short by J.D. Elliby

LOGLINE: An emotionally drained pitching phenom with sights set on the Major Leagues makes a choice that changes his future.

WRITER BIO: J.D. Elliby is a drama writer with a sharp eye for fractured families and a soft spot for the strong, complex women who hold them together. When he’s not crafting emotionally charged stories, J.D. is on the road scouting Major League Baseball talent for the Tampa Bay Rays. He’s been pulled over by the Federales in Mexican Cartel Country and lived to write about it. Whether he’s posted at a ballpark or people-watching in an airport, J.D. has a gift for catching details that make his characters feel authentic. J.D. signed a shopping agreement for two of his projects. His baseball pilot is currently in development with a production company. During his free time, J.D. focuses on family, works out, and trades stocks.
