WRITER BIO: Ashley Denise Robinson is a Jamaican-American actress, writer, and educator. She holds a Bachelor’s in theatre from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Master’s in Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Theatre credits include productions with Primary Stages, Washington Shakespeare Company, and Actors Theatre of Louisville. She is a company member of EST/LA. Her play, The Partner or, The Sou-Sou Play was a semi-finalist for the 2024 O’Neill Playwrights Conference and a finalist for the New Dramatists Residency. Select film credits include BET+’s KEMBA (starring Nesta Cooper, Shaun Patrick Thomas, and Michelle Hurd), Lifetime’s Give Me Back My Daughter (starring Gaboure Sidibe), JETHICA (2022 SXSW selection), Docket 32357 (directed by Emmy-winner Randy Wilkins), and A Fantastic Relationship. Her teaching credits span the country, with a special focus on working with children of diverse ethnic and neurodivergent backgrounds. She's a teaching artist at the Geffen Playhouse.
