Fantasy Drama Short by Kyla Sylvers

LOGLINE: Often drawing fantasy worlds that she escapes to, a young Black student struggles to juggle her grief while attending an all-white private school that does not support her.

WRITER BIO: Kyla Sylvers is an actress and filmmaker based in Chicago, IL and Brooklyn, NY. She is the founder of Melanin & Magic Productions where her projects have won awards, screened at a variety of festivals, received distribution deals, and had nearly 1 million views on YouTube. Many of her scripts have been finalists in numerous competitions, she has been featured and Essence magazine, and has won multiple artists grants for both her film and stage work. She was also a writer and producer for the WWE from 2021-2022.
